Pamela Golden

Pamela Golden was born in Chicago and studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She was awarded an MFA in 1984 and has lived and worked in London since 1989.

Further studies at the English Gardening School in Botanical Art completing the course in 2014.

Golden often integrates her own cross-cultural referencing into the work. The practice often involves her reimagining absent or potential histories suggested by the source materials, filling in gaps to generate a strong sense of narrative.

Golden has exhibited extensively for over 30 years throughout Europe and America; including a solo show at the Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, in 2004. Golden is a Senior Tutor in Painting at the Royal College of Art.
