Former students of the English Gardening School's Botanical painting course at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London, have established themselves as a group named Amicus Botanicus. The eleven botanical painters, from as far afield as Singapore, USA and Japan, were inspired to mount a showcase exhibition of their work following their course in 2004. Under the directorship of Anne Marie Evans, world famous tutor in botanical art, and other renowned botanical painters such as Pandora Sellars, Gillian Barlow and Helen Allen, the artists developed their botanical and technical skills and their love of plants.

Our next exhibition will be held at The Library Gallery, Chelsea Town Hall, Kings Road, London, SW3 5EZ from Tuesday May 25th to Sunday May 30th, 2010.
