The Amicus Botanicus Exhibition, London 2008

30th September - Saturday 4th October, 10am until 8pm

Roy Lancaster OBE VMH F.I.Hort, world famous plant hunter and horticultural personality, will open the Amicus Botanicus Exhibition on 29th September 2008.

It will be held at 54 The Gallery, Shepherd Market, London W1J 7QX and will be open to the public from 30th September until Saturday 4th October from 10am until 8pm daily.

In addition to a selection of contemporary botanical watercolours, each artist will contribute one painting to a special ‘capsule’ exhibition depicting plants important in the treatment of cancer. When the exhibition closes it is hoped that this unique collection will tour hospices and hospitals and, in due course, be auctioned in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Members of Amicus Botanicus have all generously agreed to contribute
20% of all paintings sold at the exhibition to this cancer charity.
