Valerie Beacham

"Valerie Beacham has always had a keen interest in art and painting, but it was not until she retired at the end of 2003 that she had the opportunity to develop her interest into something more than a hobby...

This was a chance to make a major change, so she took the bit between her teeth and enrolled on the one-year Botanical Painting Course at the English Gardening School, from which she eventually graduated with a Diploma.

Since then, botanical and flower painting has become an absorbing interest and plays a very significant part in her life.

Valerie has exhibited her work at the Society of Botanical Artists Annual Exhibition and the EAC Over-60s Art Awards Annual Exhibition, both in London, and at the annual Florum exhibition in Sevenoaks, Kent. In October 2008 she exhibited with Amicus Botanicus in Shepherd Market, London.
