Amicus Botanicus was created by 11 enthusiastic graduates of the 2004 Botanical Painting Diploma Course at The English Gardening School*. This international group (Singapore, USA, UK and Japan) developed their botanical and technical skills under the excellent tuition of Course Director Helen Allen and the founder of the programme, Anne-Marie Evans. The artists were inspired to mount a showcase exhibition following their course and continue to exhibit together and individually to great acclaim.
In anticipation of an exciting and inspiring show in London, in May 2012, a handful of recent graduates have joined our small Amicus Botanicus group, and in future will be showing their outstanding work with us.
